Rental terms
Conditions applicable to seasonal rentals of the Villa Vallon I, II and III gites in Vallon-Pont-d’Arc.
Version applicable from August 19, 2026. The conditions communicated and accepted at the time of booking are binding for the stay concerned.
1. Purpose and parties
These conditions govern the seasonal rental of one or more gites offered by Villa Ardèche, operated by Mr Geert VAN LIEROP, individual entrepreneur. The tenant acknowledges booking for a short-term tourist stay and not as a primary residence.
2. Reservation and payments
The reservation request becomes final after confirmation and receipt of the requested deposit.
- a deposit of 30% is calculated only on the rental price and is paid using the Stancer link sent after the request;
- the balance of 70% of the rental price and the deposit of €200 per gite must be paid no later than 30 days before arrival, by bank transfer according to the instructions sent by e-mail;
- for a reservation made less than 30 days before arrival, the request for payment of the balance and the deposit is sent immediately after payment of the deposit;
- final cleaning, optional bed linen and tourist tax are not included in the basis for calculating the 30% deposit.
Important: Failure to pay within the time limit indicated may result in cancellation of the reservation after a reminder remains ineffective.
3. Prices, cleaning, linen and tourist tax
- final cleaning is obligatory: €75 per gite, to be paid on site;
- bed linen is optional: €10 per person, to be paid on site;
- towels are not provided;
- the tourist tax is due according to the legal rate in force and is not included in the rental price.

4. Deposit
A deposit of €200 per gite is required. In the absence of damage, loss of key or additional costs, it is returned within 15 days of departure, after deduction of the tourist tax remaining due.
If damage, additional cleaning or other justified costs are noted, the balance of the deposit will be returned within a maximum period of 2 months, accompanied by available supporting documents. If the damage exceeds the amount of the deposit, the tenant remains liable for the difference.
5. Arrival and departure
Arrival is possible from 4 p.m. The gite must be vacated no later than 10 a.m. on the day of departure, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The tenant must report any defect or damage observed within 12 hours of arrival in order to allow rapid intervention.
6. Capacity, occupants and animals
The number of people accommodated cannot exceed the capacity announced for the gite, without prior written agreement. The owner may refuse additional undeclared occupants. Animals are not allowed.
7. Use of premises and liability
The tenant undertakes to peacefully use the accommodation, furniture, equipment, outdoor spaces and the swimming pool, to respect the neighborhood and to leave the premises in good condition. The tenant is liable for damage caused by himself, the occupants or visitors placed under his responsibility.
The owner cannot be held responsible for accidents, theft, loss or damage resulting from inappropriate use of the premises or a failure to follow safety instructions.
8. Pool
Access to the swimming pool is the responsibility of accompanying adults. Children must remain under the constant supervision of an adult. The safety and hygiene instructions displayed on site must be respected.
9. Cancellation by the tenant
- more than 4 weeks before arrival: no amount is retained;
- between 4 and 2 weeks before arrival: 50% of the rental price is due;
- less than 2 weeks before arrival or in the event of a no-show: the entire rental price is due.
It is recommended that the tenant take out appropriate travel cancellation insurance.
10. Cancellation by the owner and force majeure
If the owner has to cancel the stay due to an event of force majeure or a serious impossibility beyond his control, the sums already paid will be refunded without delay. No additional compensation is due, unless otherwise required by law.
11. No right of withdrawal
In accordance with article L. 221-28, 12° of the Consumer Code, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation services provided on a specific date or during a specific period.
12. Claims and mediation
In the event of a dispute, the tenant and the owner will first endeavor to find an amicable solution. Any written complaints can be addressed to info@location-villa-ardeche.fr.
In the absence of an amicable agreement, the consumer can contact Avenir Conso free of charge within one year from the written complaint addressed to the professional:
